"Everything I do in entrepreneurship starts from a desire to solve local problems with scalable architecture."

I am Yukesh Chaudhary (Rajbanshi), born May 7, 1995, in Dainiya, Morang. My journey into tech wasn't handed to me; it was built through curiosity and a frustration with imported systems that failed to serve our local context. I studied computer programming at Sukuna Multiple Campus, graduating in 2016 — a foundation that still shapes how I think about systems today.

I began my entrepreneurial path in 2018 with YukeshMedia, a media and advertising initiative, followed by Scriling News in 2019, a platform focused on digital content delivery. These early platforms taught me the complexities of media aggregation, audience engagement, and platform architecture in Nepal — lessons you can trace through every product I've built since. See the full catalogue on the ventures page.

By 2021, those insights coalesced into a single, massive undertaking: building a sovereign digital infrastructure for Nepal. What started as Niriv — originally registered in 2019 — has officially matured into Niguro, launching on January 1, 2026 as Nepal's independent search engine. Niguro brings fast localized search, real-time news aggregation, local commerce directories, community discussions, weather updates, and daily digital utilities together under a single homepage.

Centering my work on local digital independence, I believe Nepal should build indigenous technology platforms tailored to its own language, context, and culture rather than relying solely on imported systems. That belief is the thread running through my timeline, my writings, and the company I run today.

Niguro

The Search Engine Company

A Sovereign Portal

Officially launched January 1, 2026, Niguro is Nepal's homegrown search engine — the evolution of Niriv, originally registered in 2019. We process local domains (.com.np), filter global noise, and deliver instant, relevant results tailored to Nepali users across web, images, videos, news, and products.

Hybrid Architecture

Built using high-throughput Rust parsers and Node services. We use targeted inverted indexing and Bhotu AI for natural-language search summaries — without payload bloat. Deep dive in the engineering article.

Beyond the Search Bar — the Ecosystem

Niguro Cafe

Community discussions and conversations around Nepali content.

Local Commerce

Vendor aggregations and product search for Nepali businesses.

Weather & Utilities

Real-time weather and daily digital utilities in one homepage.

News Aggregation

Real-time news from across Nepal's media landscape.

Niguro is more than a crawler

It's a unified digital ecosystem delivered through a low-latency edge network — built to prioritize native content, lightweight design, and culturally resonant tools. In August 2026, Niguro formally presented itself as Nepal's first true search engine, drawing a technical distinction between directories with search boxes and a general web search engine. That argument — and the history it revisits — is worth reading on the search history article.

The Kirib

A digital news platform built for Nepal's Gen Z — a study in tone, format, and how younger readers discover information. Also The Ditible and The Ritible, sibling media experiments from the same period.

The through-line

Media taught me aggregation. Aggregation taught me relevance. Relevance demanded a search engine. That sequence — why I built my first products in Nepal — is the origin story of Niguro. For the full arc, see the timeline.

Niguro, Formally Niriv, Establishes a New Chapter as Nepal's First True Search Engine

"For years, Nepal has had websites with search boxes, directories and portals, but having a search bar alone does not make a search engine. We wanted to build something that goes beyond searching our own listings and gives people a genuine way to discover the wider web." — Yukesh Chaudhary, Founder, Niguro
